February 26, 2002: Ive been to a bull riding every weekend since the start of the year, and its been going pretty good. We had a huge sellout event this last weekend in St. Louis, and as a cowboy owner of the PBR thats always great to see. St. Louis was the ninth Bud Light Cup event of the year, and Im ninth in the Bud Light Cup points standings right now. Ive won $36,665, and have ridden about 55 percent of my bulls so far this season. Of course the goal is always 100 percent I try to ride every bull I get on but at this level of this game thats easier said than done. At the sixth event of the year, in Guthrie earlier this month, I crossed the million-dollar mark in PBR earnings and became the third guy in the PBR to get that done. Chris Shivers, Adriano Moraes and I have all won over a million now, and I hope a bunch of our friends join us in that category soon because thats a sure sign of progress in this sport. Youve probably noticed by now that our PBR telecasts on TNN have moved from Sunday evenings to Saturday nights, and that the show has gone from 90 minutes to 60. We didnt have control over either of those two decisions, but the good news is our ratings continue to rise despite the changes. We are improving the show in every way, we do have control over since buying our TV rights the first of the year. We hope you like what you see, and you can look for more improvements all the time. I went to my friend Gary McDaniels place in West Texas the other day with Cody (Lambert),
Jim (Sharp) and Justin McBride, and we branded a bunch of calves. We had so much fun, but then
I could have fun with those four guys doing anything anywhere. My Ty Murray Invitational Bud Light Cup event is coming up next month. Itll be held March
22-23 at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque. I hope to see you there. In the meantime, take care
of yourself. P.S. The books been selling great, and I appreciate all the positive feedback. Its still available here at tymurray.com or at 800-888-4741. Thanks a lot for your support of everything I do.
