My new autobiography, "King of the Cowboys," is due out in stores the first week in May. Simon and Schuster has a two-week book tour lined up for me, that'll include appearances and signings in cities like Dallas, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Atlanta.
My event's coming right up the end of this week, Friday and Saturday, March 14-15 at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque. This is the seventh annual already, and it just keeps getting bigger and better every year.
I've been spending a lot of time around the ranch lately, which I love. I recently added 200 acres to it. I bought some land across the lake, and the best part of that is it won't be developed so I won't have to look across the lake at a bunch of houses.
We've had a lot of rain, so there's plenty of feed for the cows. Besides tending to them I've been riding a lot of colts with Craig Cameron. I really enjoy that, and I'm learning a ton about being a better horseman. That's something that's always meant a lot to me, so it's great to have the time to work at it.
